VIGIL FOR HOMELESS DEATHS

From a 3/4/2020 email from WHEEL:

"These are very troubled and heartbreaking times, and we are devastated to share this vigil announcement:  From an updated list of presumed-homeless deaths, we just learned that at least 10 homeless people--including an 8-day-old baby girl--died outside or in public in the last five weeks.  Words cannot express our grief.  At noon Wednesday, March 11th we’ll stand vigil outside the Seattle Justice Center (5th/Cherry) for these beloved people: 
**Sergio Munar Jr, 63, found in a vehicle at 723 S Homer/died of toxic use of drugs at Harborview (HMC) on 1/28.
**Stephany Burdick, 35, died at Dearborn under the 12th Avenue bridge on 2/2; cause pending.
** Michael Heart, 69, found at 500 block 3rd Ave/died at HMC on 2/2; cause pending.
**Christopher Walters, 46, found at 660 Elliott W/died at HMC on 2/6; cause pending.
**Heather Thompson, 39, found in Poulsbo, died at HMC of thermal burns (manner undetermined).
** Sharlo Sete, 49, a woman who died at 750 S Homer on 2/13; cause pending.
**Houston Tobin, 28, found at 45th & 15th NE/died at UW Hospital on 2/14; cause pending.
**Melissa Speed, 30, died of smoke inhalation in an RV fire at 24th S/S Hill on 2/28.
**David Monroe, 56, (tentative ID), died at 90 block Spokane St on 2/29; cause pending.
**Baby Girl B, 8 days old, died in a pop-up encampment in Seattle on 2/29; cause pending.
The number of known 2020 outdoor/public/violent homeless deaths now already stands at 13 (of 23 names on the Medical Examiners List). 
JOIN US IN OUR GRIEF, AND IN CRYING OUT FOR SHELTER, HOUSING, DIGNITY AND JUSTICE!  PLEASE JOIN OUR VIGIL IF YOU ARE ABLE TO.
