Undergoing one of the most challenging years in our Parish history, your support meant so much to moving forward in our St Vincent de Paul mission. In 2020, our Conference delivered an overall total assistance value of $245,000 to over 3,000 neighbors in need. These 2020 numbers represent a staggering increase over the $175,000 delivered and 1,900 neighbors helped in 2019. Drilling deeper into the 2020 numbers, your kind generosity enabled the following support to be given:
Rent assistance - 381 families
Move-in deposits - 19 families
Mortgage payments - 4 families
Utility payments - 116 families
Assistance to many in the form of:
Donated food, hygiene, furniture items, bus tickets, Safeway cards and Thrift Store vouchers for clothing and other living essentials
Payment of medical, dental, vehicle and other miscellaneous expenses
Referrals to COVID relief program and other public resources, including arrangement of case manager support for those unable to navigate the system
Support to our immigrant population during these hard times
On behalf of our Vincentians and the many served within our community, we thank you for making a difference, and for being there for us as we continue to navigate these times together. Your prayerful and generous support enabled our St. Vincent de Paul Conference to serve as a beacon of hope to the marginalized and the poor in our midst.
