Principal's Corner
Greetings,
St. John School had a great week celebrating the 40th anniversary of Catholic Schools. The Mega Mass with the Bishop was fantastic. It is always an excellent experience for our students to see a church full of youth celebrating God together. Students also enjoyed the Lego's activitiy and ice cream sundaes. Almost 500 cans were collected and given to the amen house by our students! This is an excellent example of the service that our students give to the community. Lastly, thank you to all the parents who volunteered to make many of the activities possible. The breakfast provided for the staff was delicious - I think I probably gained a pound or two! Please keep St. John School in your prayers.
Take care and God bless,
Dan Mardell

Amen House Needs
The Amen House is busy helping those in need every day. At this time, they are in need of regular toiletry items, as well as diapers and wipes for babies! Please remember them as you grocery shop this week!
Recycling News
With the frigid temperatures we have been experiencing, our Green Team Volunteers would greatly appreciate it if you could pre-count your bags before dropping them off in the recycling center. Please label your bags with the number of Aluminum AND the number of PET (plastic) in each bag. Labeling your bags makes the counting process more efficient and saves our volunteers a lot of time. THANK YOU to all those that have been pre-counting your bags!
If you have any questions regarding our recycling efforts or would like to volunteer please contact Bill Hulette or Alison Witajewski.
Scrip News
The second grade class won the last scrip contest and will receive a cake pop party for having the highest participation. February scrip contest: The class with the highest volume of gift cards purchased wins a cupcake party!
Box Tops
Remember to turn in your box tops! Please have all your collected box tops turned into the office by February 28th. This will be the last submission for the school year. This is an easy way to earn money for our school. Thank you for your support.
My Coke Rewards
Don't forget to continue collecting coke points and sending them to the school office. We have used these points to get many great items for our classrooms this year. Our point balance is starting to run low, so send in as many coke points as you can!
