It’s estimated there are more than 21 million human trafficking victims worldwide. This is not something that occurs only in dark alleys in the far corners of the Earth, though. It’s happening around the world, including right here in Seattle, every day. Human trafficking is the act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud or coercion. Sexual exploitation and forced labor are the most common forms of human trafficking. More than half of the victims are female, and 1 in 5 victims are children. Visit
