HELP PROVIDE RELIEF TO THOSE AFFECTED BY RECENT WILDFIRES AND HURRICANES

As unhealthy smoke clouds our skies, we are aware that many are suffering the direct impact of the fires through loss of homes, businesses, and lives.  In other parts of our country, people are rebuilding after devastating hurricanes have knocked out power, communications, water provision, Churches, rectories, schools, and more.  We encourage those who are able to contribute to a special emergency disaster fund to provide relief and support to those suffering these natural disasters.

The funds collected in this special appeal will become part of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund and will be used to support the efforts of Catholic Charities USA and/or Catholic Relief Services, the official relief agencies of the U.S. Catholic Church, as they and their local agencies respond to immediate emergency needs for such necessities as water, food, shelter, and medical care, and aid in long-term rebuilding and recovery efforts; and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church.

To give, mail in or drop off a check made out to "Our Lady of Guadalupe" with "Disaster Fund" in the memo line or donate through our parish website ("Disaster Fund" under "Holy Days and Special Collections").
