Advocate: Ratify the Arms Trade Treaty

UN members just finalized negotiations on an Arms Trade Treaty to standardize and control international import, export and transfer of conventional weapons! Officially authorized transfers of weapons promote insecurity in developing countries that have unstable governments. The treaty does not change any internal regulations on weapons control; it only creates an international standard for the transfer of weapons between countries.

As the world’s largest arms exporter, the treaty will mean little without US participation. Ask the President and your Senators today to ratify the treaty.
