Lettuce Pray is a ministry that works to provide fresh produce to the West Seattle Food Bank. Fresh veggies and fruits are a real gift for those families and individuals experiencing food insecurity, especially to those who live in a food desert.
Each summer, a Lettuce Pray box is placed inside the main entrance of the church to collect donations. Parishioners are invited to bring fresh produce from their gardens (or the farmers’ market or grocery store) to Mass. Sometime after the start of the 11 a.m. Sunday Mass a volunteer will pick up the donations to transport them to the Food Bank.
Lettuce Pray ran Sunday, September 30, 2018 this season!
Many thanks for your generous spirit in helping others in need!
Produce from our Rice Bowl-sponsored Peace Garden also gets donated to Lettuce Pray!
