Drop off donations at the weekly Welcome Table meal at the Body of Christ Church in White Center (1320 SW 102nd St, Seattle 98146).They currently need tp, detergent, personal care items, dish soap, and all-purpose cleaners. Donations can be dropped off on Saturdays between 11-11:30am (before the meal to help with social distancing). You can also donate to the meal by providing non-perishable food (canned foods, mac n chees, soup, cereal, shelf-stable milk, string cheese, fruit, fruit cups, granola bars, bags of chips, etc.).
Operation Nightwatch, a grassroots shelter that provides nightly meals and shelter to roughly 120 homeless individuals, needs ready-to-eat, individually-wrapped foods that do not need refrigeration in order to continue feeding and serving during COVID-19. Donate non-perishable breakfast bars, applesauce, granola bars, microwavable individually packaged meals, etc.to Catholic Community Services' Lazarus Day Center (2329 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle 98144). Supplies are down while the need continues to grow. The Center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you do this, drop a note or a special treat in for the staff who are tirelessly working in less-than-ideal conditions.
Help World Relief respond to the urgent needs of the refugee and immigrant community with emergency financial assistance. Consider joining a special offering or donating gift cards (Safeway, Dollar Tree, Amazon) to help our participants through what will be a very difficult season.
Thank an "essential" worker. Leave a gift, a note, a gas card or something for the nurses, doctors, firefighters, police officers, mail carriers, shelter managers, garbage collectors, grocery store workers, delivery drivers, etc. in your area.
