Family Faith Formation
Contact: Marion Kari, marionk@olgseattle.org
Our mission is to work in partnership with parents/guardians to create an atmosphere of Catholic Christian values that
permeate home, church, and community for all children in our parish, broadening our outreach beyond OLG School. We
develop and support a variety of programs and activities that help to deepen our children’s r relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church, to strengthen our families, and to provide
opportunities to serve others. Parent/Guardian support and
partnership is essential not only to the success of our programs, but more importantly, to your c child’s faith life.
Family Faith Sundays
Contact: Marion Kari, marionk@olgseattle.org
This is a multi-generational program where parents/guardians and their children (K-8) gather to learn more about their faith, pray together, play together, and interact with other families. Families whose children attend OLG School are encouraged to participate to enrich and strengthen their faith as a family. In addition, there will be monthly opportunities to gather as families for a variety of service projects both within the parish community and throughout the community at large. Sessions take place generally on the first Sunday of the month (October- June) from 9:30-10:45 am in the Walmesley Center followed by a family Mass at 11:00 am in the church.
Adult Faith Formation
OLG offers many opportunities throughout the year for adult Catholics to grow and deepen their faith. These include lecture series, bible studies, the Summer Film Festival, and various workshops on a variety of topics including liturgy, prayer & spirituality, social justice, and t theology. Please check our
parish website and weekly Sunday bulletin for our current
offerings.
RSVP
Contact: Mel Dennis, DennisMel@comcast.net
RSVP is a program that invites us to reflect on the scriptures, share our faith in a comfortable setting, and pray in small groups with fellow parishioners. We gather in homes for six weekly sessions in the Fall and during Lent. We read and
reflect on the scriptures and share our response to the readings with helpful reflection questions. We then offer our prayers and petitions as a group. RSVP is a wonderful way to share our faith and build closer relationships with our fellow
parishioners.

Centering Prayer
Contact: CandyMiller, CenteringPrayer@comcast.net
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer in which we
experience God's presence within us. It does not replace other forms of prayer, but adds depth of meaning to all prayer and facilitates the movement from more active forms of prayer into a receptive prayer of resting in God. The source of Centering Prayer is the indwelling Trinity, the focus of Centering Prayer is the deepening of our relationship with the living Christ. The effects of Centering Prayer are ecclesial, as the prayer tends to build communities of faith and bond the members together in mutual friendship and love. No experience is needed, just an open heart. We have DVDs to explain the process and all of us to help anyone interested in the practice.
