“The definitive aim of catechesis [faith formation] is to put people not only in touch but in communion, in intimacy, with Jesus Christ: only he can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity. St. Paul declared, “For to me life is Christ.’” (On Catechesis in our Time)
Faith formation involves the lifelong effort of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit. In addition to our many liturgical celebrations, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish provides a variety of opportunities throughout the year for Catholics of all ages to grow in their faith. These include sacramental preparation, Bible study, family & children programs, Catholic faith enrichment programs, prayer and spirituality groups, and a variety of other events throughout the year.
Welcome Back Program for Returning Catholics If you are a Catholic who has been away from the Church, and are thinking about returning, we would be happy to hear from you. Our parish offers "Welcome Back," a parish program designed to help people return to the sacraments and to regular church attendance. For more information, contact Helen Oesterle, 206-935-0358, [email protected].
