We learned this week that the larger community stepped up in a BIG WAY and the resettlement organizations no longer have storage space available! In response, we are changing directions for our Welcome Kit drive this upcoming Sunday, October 17. If you already purchased items from the list, feel free to drop them by the Walmesley Center between 9:30am-1:30pm and we will store them until the agencies can receive them. If you haven’t done your shopping yet, please consider buying gift cards to places like Safeway, Fred Meyer or Goodwill instead. If you prefer, you can give directly to the resettlement and relief organizations: Lutheran Immigrant and Refugee Services, Afghan Health Initiative, or World Relief. Our Immigrant Ministry has also compiled a list of ways you can get more involved. Thank you for your care and generosity!
