OLG recently became an official Dialogue for Justice partner. On November 1st, you have the opportunity to meet with fellow parishioners and Catholics from other local parishes at the Fall Advocacy Gathering. The meeting will help strengthen our Catholic advocacy network and prepare us for the 2015 Legislative Session. It will include briefings on the 2015 Legislative Session and Priority Poverty Issues, Advocacy 101, the rollout of an online advocacy toolkit, networking opportunities and a special session.
There are three November meetings happening in our Archdiocese. The first is the closest, held at St. James Cathedral (810 9th Ave, Seattle 98144) from 9:30-11:30am on November 1st with a special session on Abolishing the Death Penalty. The next will be at St. Michael's Parish in Olympia on November 8th from 10-noon with a special session on Building Bridges to Encourage a Cooperative Culture of Life and Justice in Your Parish. The final is at Sacred Heart in Bellingham on November 12th from 7-9pm with a special session on Effective Advocacy: Basic Strategies and Methods.
