The 2022 Day of Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 2!
In 2014, we began a new tradition...the OLG Day of Service! Each year, OLG parishioners and friends gather to serve at a variety of sites in our region. Thank you the almost 200 participants who joined us in 2021.
This year's Day of Service will take place on Saturday, April 2. There are many projects to choose from designed for all ages, abilities and schedules, including our drop-in campus projects and at-home projects. To learn more about the projects, check out these project descriptions. To sign up, click here. Registration officially closed on March 13 but there are a few projects with openings still!
If you signed up for one of the at-home projects, you can find a description of the project by clicking here.
If you’d like to help our planning team put this event on, join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, March 29 at 12pm via Zoom (counts toward school volunteer hours). We are also in need of donated glass beads and paper punches for our Gym "Crafting for a Cause" Projects. To donate items or help plan the event, contact Jennifer at jibach@olgseattle.org.
Every precaution is being taken at all our sites to minimize exposure to COVID. For example, at the Tri-Parish Food Bank and Rainier Valley Food Bank are now preparing boxes to be loaded into people's cars and all services are taking place outdoors. Likewise, the White Center Welcome Table lunch is handed out in to-go boxes and all service happens outside. If weather permits, we can even move some of our gym projects outside. Please let us know if you would like more specifics. Contact Jennifer at jibach@olgseattle.org for details.
