Summer is a difficult time to collect blood. High school blood drives are closed. Donors are on vacation or out of their regular routines. Meanwhile, people are more active in summer and consequently there are more accidents. So, the demand for blood increases in summer, at a time when blood donations decrease.
To help maintain a plentiful blood supply this summer season, Our Lady of Guadalupe will continue to host summer blood drives on Mon Aug 5, Tues Aug 6 & Wed Aug 7. Let’s stock up on blood supplies for our community!
