Ways to Nurture Respect for Racial Diversity
- Expose yourself/your family to diverse cultural/racial activites. Ideas for events include:
visiting a racially diverse church
attending plays and camps that highlight other cultures
trying a variety of foods/restaurants
attending cultural events like Simbang Gabi
visiting areas of town that are unfamiliar to you
- Host foreign students
- Host meals, invite others over to get to know them better. This involves keeping in mind who you usually talk to and choose to socialize with...is it someone from your own race/culture? Is there room to broaden your circle?
