There are many youth currently in refugee camps overseas or in shelters in the U.S. who are waiting for foster care placement. If you, or someone you know has the gift and desire to be a foster parent to a youth between the ages of 14-21, contact Rosalinda Ramos at
[email protected] or 253-502-2639.
You can also help by mentoring an international foster youth. If you can commit to sharing one or two days a month to meet with a youth to help them settle into their community, contact Sister Susan Wells, SNJM at 253-502-2639 or
[email protected]. The youth need adult mentors who can accompany them through the challenges they face, help them learn how to look for work and excel in school, and be involved in their communities.
Please keep the children, most of whom are feeling extreme violence and severe economic hardships, in your prayers!
